What would be your favorite job if you could do anything.?
by new hope and happiness inon the basis that most of us realise the w.t wasnt really the best " job" or way to spend our days, it would be fun to find out what people would really have liked to have done with there lifes and if this is still possible.
or maybe its not even a very realistic ambition just a dream.
in my dreams i stay at home all day and make a living from being a professional artist.maybe i need a phycholgist?.

I thought of a lot of things, like having a job deep sea diving, or preserving artifacts from history, or running a ranch, or making leather boots and saddles, or a shop owner in Nantucket Island, or a writer like Maeve Binchey. But really i have the best fun when something i've written gets a laugh.

by phats inhay out there.. wife got back from her thursday meeting & now she's setteled down with the dog, a v large g&t (maid be me) & watching terminator 2 on the telly with her ipad on her lap looking up places to go for our holiday (& googling symptoms of to many antibiotics as my 16 year old is getting signs of ibs).
so now is a good time to say hello.. well hello.
my name is phats & i'm an ex jehovah's witness.. there, i've said it.. this must be like it is going to your first aa meeting.. i've already used up some of my posts for a newbe but i'm not in to the whole long story thing.. basically i've been out now for 8 years (mentally out for all but four or five of those years of my life when i made the commitment, got baptized & married.).

Books that changed your life-
by new hope and happiness ini am not much of a reader as i have two many distractions, but i fancy a challenging read, so please list any book that has changed your entire world view on everything.
i remember as a teenager buying at a yard sale, norman vincent peales " the power of positive thinking" and at the time that had a big impact on me.
but i am a little bit more in to " realistic positive thinking" now..

the new exjw stars of youtube... discuss
by friendaroonie insince the creation of a few youtube channels i spend enormous amounts of time watching them.
they have basically replaced my activity on jwn and watching kelly and michael in the morning.
there are quite a few issues and implications that result from this trend.

One of the first videos i happened onto was the Martin Merriman story. That whole deal just stunned me. Before seeing that I had NO CLUE that anything like that had ever happened. I must have watched it 10 times.

Yes, i used to sell on the "bay" and etsy and personal jewelry shows; with the family problems i had to let it all go. But things are a LOT better now - i've gotta get back to my real craft.

I enjoy watching them. Early on when i first began looking for things like CoC, i started watching vids from xjw's. I found out stuff that shocked me and blew my mind, about the WT and what people had suffered. So yes, I think the videos are great.
